Give a unit +1 Damage. That unit becomes the Alpha.

Chosen Warrior permanently boosts a unit's damage by 1 and designates them as the Alpha — the focus of enemy aggression. Best used on a frontliner with high survivability, as the Alpha designation means that unit will draw attacks, so you want them both hitting hard and able to take the heat.
