Buffs, debuffs, and combat mechanics (Bleed, Burn, Thorns, etc.)

Status effects alter units and tiles during combat. Some stack (Bleed), some don't (Stun). Timing varies: start of turn (DoTs), end of turn, instant, or passive. Many interact with elements — Wet units freeze instantly from Ice; Electric chains through water. Effects come from abilities, terrain, and weather.
