Blind

30% miss chance for the next {stacks} turns.

Blind is an accuracy debuff that gives the afflicted unit a 30% chance to miss on its next turn. Stacks reduce by 1 per turn, so the effect is temporary. Unlike Confusion (which causes self-damage on failed actions), Blind simply causes attacks to whiff, dealing no damage. This makes Blind a softer form of disruption that reduces average damage output without the self-harm risk of Confusion.

The 30% miss chance applies to each attack independently, so units with multiple attacks per turn have more chances to be affected. Against enemies that rely on a single high-damage attack, Blind is a gamble: there is a 70% chance the attack still hits. Against enemies with many attacks, Blind provides more consistent damage reduction overall, as the miss chance applies to each individual hit.

Blind stacks with other miss chance sources like the Miss Chance debuff, potentially creating very high miss rates when combined. The Marked and Magic Weakness debuffs both include the property that attacks cannot miss, overriding Blind's miss chance entirely. When applied to your cats, Blind makes critical attacks unreliable, so switching to area-of-effect abilities (which cannot miss) or focusing on movement and positioning during blinded turns is often the best response.
