Brain Drain

Brain Drain is a Caves magic enemy with infinite ranged attacks and a powerful counterspell mechanic. Once per turn it can counter any spell directed at it, nullifying the effect entirely. If its counterspell is never triggered by the start of its next turn, it absorbs it for a buff to magic damage and health — rewarding players who intentionally bait the counter with a cheap spell early in the round. Defeating it efficiently requires either triggering the counter proactively or overwhelming it before it can buff itself.
