Enemy
Worm
Movement: 5
The Worm is a mobile ranged enemy distinguished by its movement type: rather than walking tile-by-tile, it uses Teleport movement, repositioning anywhere on the battlefield in a single step. This makes conventional positioning strategies largely ineffective — blocking corridors and chokepoints provides no protection against a unit that ignores all terrain.
Despite its disorienting movement, the Worm's offense is a straightforward BasicRanged attack — it fires projectiles from wherever it teleports to each turn. With 5 Hit Points it is moderately durable for a ranged enemy, and its tendency to reposition out of range after firing makes it a persistently annoying target that must be hunted down deliberately.
Area-of-effect abilities and persistent tile-based damage can catch Worms mid-engagement regardless of where they teleport. Since they cannot be corralled, the most reliable approaches are either overwhelming ranged output to kill before it repositions, or AoE coverage broad enough that its landing location doesn't matter.
