Armory Key

Armory Key is the rare neck armor earned by completing the Storage Locker sidequest. After every battle, the team finds an extra item from the chapter's loot pool — a persistent bonus that accumulates significantly over the course of a run. A metal-tagged item with reliable, compounding value.

One extra item per battle adds up fast — across dozens of fights in a full run, the Armory Key generates a significant number of additional items from the current chapter's loot table. These can be equipped by your cats, held for future trades, or sacrificed for other benefits. The Metal tag opens synergies with magnet-based passives and items that interact with metal-tagged gear. Because the bonus item comes from the chapter pool, the quality scales with progress into the run.

Armory Key is one of the best long-term value items in the game when found early — the earlier in a run you acquire it, the more extra items it generates before the run ends. Assign it to a cat who can afford to use the neck slot for it, ideally one who already has strong neck-less alternatives or who can use the Metal tag for synergy. In late-game chapters where the loot pool contains powerful items, each bonus drop is a substantial power boost.
