Bag of Rocks

A rare Rock set weapon that delivers a melee strike dealing 1 damage and inflicting Bruise on an adjacent target. The direct damage is minimal, but Bruise is a debuff worth applying to tougher enemies. Part of the large Rock set, so look for set bonuses if you're running multiple Rock items. Melee range only — you need to be right next to your target.

Bruise increases the damage the affected enemy takes, making it a force multiplier when applied before heavier hitters follow up. Applying Bruise on the first turn with the Bag of Rocks lets subsequent attacks from all party members deal increased damage for the rest of the fight. The Rock set membership means this synergizes with other Rock items' set bonuses.

Most valuable in team compositions where multiple cats attack the same target and a Bruise debuff multiplies total team damage output. On solo builds, the weapon is primarily a Rock set contributor rather than a damage source. Stack with the Shotgun (which benefits extensively from multiple Bruise stacks) for extreme damage amplification in boss encounters.
