Banana

A banana balanced on top of the head as a makeshift hat. Grants CHA -1 — no cat looks dignified wearing produce on their head. Its only recorded mechanical effect is the charisma penalty, though as a head armor slot item it may have additional interactions not captured in the current data.

Like other joke-tier items with only CHA penalties, Banana is effectively a no-effect item for cats whose build ignores charisma entirely. CHA governs social interactions and charisma-scaling abilities, so the -1 penalty is only meaningful for Muggers or other CHA-dependent archetypes. On a physical fighter or spellcaster, equipping the Banana is essentially the same as equipping nothing in the head slot.

The Banana is best avoided unless your head slot is genuinely empty and no other head armor is available. Even then, accepting a minor CHA penalty for zero benefit is a last resort. The one exception would be if Banana enables some hidden food-type interaction or is part of an undocumented set. Otherwise, treat it as a placeholder at best and skip it when anything better is available.
