Works best when you have multiple strong passive trinkets in play — the more valuable your trinket passives, the more this hat pulls ahead of conventional head armor.

The head slot is typically high-priority real estate, so Copycat Hat competes against strong alternatives like Sabertooth Hat, Frozen Hat, or Demonic Hat. The break-even point is when your passive trinket stack is worth more than whatever the head armor alternative provides — which happens faster than it seems when you're running three or more impactful passive trinkets simultaneously.

Copycat Hat is the easiest entry point into the Copycat set because head armor is where most players first consider a build-defining piece — finding Copycat Hat early signals a trinket-stacking strategy. Prioritize finding Copycat Scarf and Copycat Mask afterward to complete the full multiplier stack. Even running just Copycat Hat alone provides a meaningful trinket boost, though the full three-piece synergy is where the build becomes truly powerful.
