Dead Hummingbird

A very rare Feathered set consumable with 2 uses, dropped by the Hummingbird enemy. Each use grants +20 Speed and +50% Dodge Chance for the current combat, and your cat shrinks visually during the effect. The dodge chance is the real prize — 50% is already huge, and combining both uses or pairing with the Ball-Peen Hammer (which can add extra charges) can push you toward 100% dodge, making you nearly untouchable for a fight.

+20 Speed is also a significant combat advantage, improving initiative, movement range, and action ordering within a turn. Both bonuses are in-combat only, resetting after the fight ends. Using both charges in a single fight stacks the bonuses: +40 Speed and +100% Dodge Chance for essentially guaranteed evasion for the duration. The visual shrink is cosmetic but notable. Part of the Feathered set, which connects it to other bird-themed items.

Save both charges for a single difficult boss encounter where guaranteed evasion for a full fight is the difference between a win and a loss. Pairing with existing dodge gear (Rag set, Dead Cat's Eye) makes the combined dodge effectively impossible to miss through. The Hummingbird is the exclusive source, making this a notable priority target enemy when spotted. One of the strongest single-fight power items in the game.
