Experimental Treatment
Common
A common head armor from the Experimental set. Grants +2 of one random stat and -1 of another via a seeded modifier. The head slot variant of the chaotic Experimental treatment trio. Each piece rolls independently, so wearing all three can result in three different pairs of stat swings. Worth equipping when the stat bonuses happen to align with your build, and easy to discard when they don't.
The head slot is prime real estate for both defensive and offensive armor bonuses, so the random nature of the Experimental Treatment is a bigger gamble here than in other slots. If it rolls +2 onto a stat that scales your primary damage source or +2 onto CON for survivability, it's competitive with most uncommon head armors. A -1 penalty to SPD or a damage-relevant stat is the worst-case scenario.
Evaluate on pickup — the head Experimental Treatment is only worth keeping if the random bonus matches your build's needs. Builds that care about multiple stats equally (e.g., balanced stat growth) will find this less impactful than specialized builds where one stat clearly dominates. Never assume all three Experimental pieces will roll consistently useful results.
