Experimental Treatment
Common
A common face armor from the Experimental set. Provides +2 of a random stat and -1 of another. The face slot version of the Experimental set's random-stat armor pieces. As with all Experimental Treatment items, the outcome is unpredictable — it can be a meaningful gain or a minor setback depending on which stats get rolled. Part of a trio that covers all three armor slots with the same seeded randomness.
The face slot in Mewgenics is frequently where control or utility effects live — on-hit status procs, Entangle chances, or battle-start effects. Choosing the Experimental Treatment for the face slot means trading guaranteed utility for a random stat modifier, which can pay off if the roll is favorable but may be weaker than many face armors with defined effects. Best treated as a stopgap piece until something better appears.
Inspect the rolled stats immediately on pickup. If the +2 is on a key damage or survival stat, it's worth keeping. If the -1 hits a stat you depend on, skip it. The face slot Experimental Treatment is the most situational of the trio because the face slot alternatives are often very good — only commit when the random roll genuinely beats what you already have.
