Glyph of Protection

A magical glyph inscribed directly on the face. Each time the wearer casts a spell, it applies a status effect — meaning frequent casters layer debuffs onto enemies automatically alongside their spells. A face-slot complement to any caster build that makes every spell cast pull double duty, with no stat tradeoffs attached.

The StatusOnSpellCast passive fires every time an ability is used, regardless of the spell's type or target. This means area spells, single-target spells, and self-buffs all trigger the status application identically. High-output casters who cast multiple spells per turn can stack several status applications per round from this passive alone. The face slot gives up no stats, so there's no cost to the caster beyond the item slot.

Glyph of Protection is an excellent face slot pick for INT-heavy casters who want passive status pressure without spending actions on debuffs. Pairs naturally with Holy Tears for mana sustainability and status-on-cast synergy. Competes with other strong caster face items like Steven (neck-and-cast combo) or Mystical Blindfold — if physical immunity matters more than status delivery, Mystical Blindfold takes the slot. Otherwise Glyph of Protection is one of the best caster face items at its rarity.
