Works in any build since every stat is useful to some degree. Running the full Mundane set with the Collar and Whiskers stacks +3 across all stats, which is a respectable bonus for cats that don't benefit from any one specific armor passive.

The head slot typically holds the strongest single item on any cat. Equipping Normal Ears means accepting +1 to every stat rather than a larger bonus in one specific area. The opportunity cost is real in the head slot compared to items like The Mind (+7 INT) or other focused headpieces. However, for cats that don't have a clear best-in-slot hat and benefit from multiple stats, Normal Ears provides stable, unconditional value without any tradeoffs or conditions.

Best picked up when building the full Mundane set, where all three pieces combine for +3 to every stat simultaneously. The set is particularly effective on multi-stat builds or cats with mixed damage types where STR, DEX, and INT all contribute simultaneously.
