Skill Split

Skill Split is a very rare trinket that copies one of the wearer's passive ability slots, effectively doubling it. This is one of the most powerful build-enabling effects in the game — any strong passive becomes twice as effective with Skill Split equipped. Identify your most impactful passive before equipping, as the duplication compounds the value of whatever it targets most.

Passive duplication works best on passives that have no inherent cap or that scale multiplicatively. A flat damage-on-hit passive doubled means every attack triggers it twice. A stat-granting passive doubled means the stat bonus is applied twice. Diminishing-return or capped passives may not double as cleanly, so review whether the passive you want to duplicate scales linearly before assuming the copy is equivalent value. The CopyPassiveAbility mechanic requires at least one passive to be present in the loadout to function, making this better the later in a run you find it when your passive slots are filled.

Skill Split pairs best with passives that are already carrying your build: if your key passive is a source of consistent damage, healing, or status application, having two copies of it effectively doubles that contribution. Consider saving it for later in a run when you know which passive is the linchpin of your current build. Equip it immediately on a cat with a standout passive. If your passives are all mediocre, Skill Split is still a very rare that could double any future strong passive you acquire. A top-tier trinket that rewards knowledge of your own build.
