Cursed is a status effect that applies a supernatural debilitation to the afflicted unit, typically reducing Luck or causing negative random effects to trigger more frequently. Cursed units experience worse outcomes on random rolls across the board, from crit chance to loot drops.

The most dangerous aspect of Cursed is its interaction with the injury system. Being downed while Cursed results in the Cursed injury, which permanently reduces LCK by 2, the highest single-stat penalty of any injury in the game. This makes Cursed particularly threatening in areas with dark or occult enemies. Removing the Cursed status before a cat goes down should be a high priority to avoid the permanent LCK loss. Holy-element abilities and certain cleanse effects can remove it.
