Firefly Swarm

Firefly Swarm is a status-modifier weather effect in Mewgenics that grants all allied cats +2 Luck for the duration of the chapter. Unlike most weather effects that apply globally to all units, Firefly Swarm only buffs your team, making it one of the most purely beneficial weathers in the game.

Luck is a versatile stat in Mewgenics that influences multiple game systems. Higher Luck increases your critical hit chance, improves dodge rolls against hard-to-hit enemies, boosts the quality of money and item drops, and favorably influences any probability-based roll in the game. A +2 Luck bonus is substantial, and it applies to every cat in your active roster for every fight in the chapter.

Builds that scale with Luck see the biggest improvements. Crit-focused damage dealers that rely on critical hits to spike their damage output become noticeably more consistent with the extra Luck. Dodge-stacking Rogues benefit from the improved evasion rolls. Even support cats benefit from better drop rates, ensuring more resources come back from each encounter.

Firefly Swarm visually fills each arena with glowing fireflies, creating one of the more atmospheric weather effects in the game. Beyond the visual charm, there is no downside or complication to manage. When Firefly Swarm is active, simply play normally and enjoy the free stat boost.

Firefly Swarm can appear in any biome and is classified as an uncommon weather.
