Black Shard

Defeat Zaratana, the dark-themed Kaiju boss, to unlock the Black Shard item. Zaratana is one of the two mid-act Kaiju bosses in Act 2, serving as the counterpart to Pyrophina. She uses shadow and darkness-based attacks that can be just as devastating as Pyrophina's fire. When fighting Zaratana solo (outside the vs. encounter), focus on building a team with high damage output and debuff resistance. Light-based or holy abilities can be especially effective against her dark-element attacks. Keep your party spread to avoid getting caught by area-of-effect abilities.
