Tourette's Syndrome
At the start of your turn, you have a 33% chance to cast one of your spells at a random target for free.
Tourette's Syndrome gives your cat a 33% chance at the start of each turn to cast one of its spells at a random target for free. The spell is selected randomly from your equipped abilities, and the target is also random, meaning the free cast could hit an enemy, an ally, or even an empty tile. The spell does not cost mana, effectively giving you a bonus action one-third of the time, but with zero control over what spell is cast or who it hits.
Tourette's Syndrome is heritable and can pass from parent to kitten through breeding. It can also be acquired through events or applied with a Disorder Syringe from the Organ Grinder. The 33% trigger rate is substantial, meaning roughly one in three turns will feature an involuntary spell cast. The free mana cost is a genuine benefit, but the random targeting makes it a double-edged sword since offensive spells might hit allies and support spells might buff enemies.
Strategically, Tourette's Syndrome is best on cats with spell loadouts that cannot backfire. If all your spells are offensive and target enemies, the random casts are almost always beneficial since they deal free damage. Avoid giving a Tourette's cat healing spells or buff spells that could accidentally benefit enemies. Single-target damage spells with no friendly fire potential are ideal. The disorder is less effective on cats with area-of-effect spells that might hit allied positions, or cats with very expensive spells whose mana efficiency benefit from the free cast is wasted on random targets.
