Shielded3 is the Chapter 3 variant of the Shielded elite buff, granting 12 points of non-stacking Shield that regenerates to full at the beginning of each round. The elite's maximum health is reduced by 20% in exchange for this defensive barrier. The Shield must be fully depleted before any attack deals direct health damage, and it resets every round, demanding consistent burst damage from your team.

At 12 Shield, this mid-to-late-game variant demands significant round-over-round damage commitment. Your team needs to break through 12 points of barrier before landing any real hits, and any damage that does not fully deplete the Shield in a given round is effectively wasted. Shielded3 on enemies with healing or other sustain mechanics is especially frustrating because even when you punch through the Shield, the enemy can recover health before you can finish it off.

Concentrate your team's damage output into burst windows. Have your highest-damage cat attack first to crack the Shield, then follow up with the rest of the team to deal real health damage. The Marked status bypasses Shield entirely and is the cleanest counter to any Shielded variant. Shield-ignoring abilities or attacks with bonus damage against shielded enemies are worth prioritizing in your build if you expect to face Chapter 3 elite content. The 20% health reduction means you need fewer total damage-dealing rounds once you learn to consistently break through.
