Cat Cultist

The Cat Cultist is a feline member of Johnny's cult found in The Bunker with 11 HP and a basic melee attack. Its most notable mechanic is its CultistCut ability: each hit the Cat Cultist takes grants it one additional attack for the remainder of the turn. The more damage you deal in a single burst, the more retaliatory strikes it earns — making reckless multi-hit attacks or trading blows with it a dangerous proposition.

Unlike the Lackey, the Cat Cultist doesn't promote into other forms, but it compensates by punishing aggression directly. Multi-hit abilities and rapid-fire attacks that normally excel at burst damage become counterproductive against it, as each individual hit triggers another counter. A cat that unloads a 4-hit combo into a Cat Cultist may suddenly find itself taking 4 retaliatory attacks before its turn ends.

Single-hit abilities that can one-shot it outright are the safest approach. Alternatively, ranged or AoE attacks that can finish it without triggering multiple hits help sidestep its counter mechanic. Avoiding it with low-durability cats is wise, as even a few retaliatory strikes can down a fragile unit. In groups, prioritize killing it cleanly rather than chipping it down over multiple turns.
