Der Fötus

Der Fötus is an 8 HP fast and aggressive enemy from The Future that emerges from a shattered Fötusjar or appears as a standalone combatant. Named after and heavily inspired by Dr. Fetus from Super Meat Boy, it uses FurySwipes for rapid multi-hit melee attacks and FetusPullBomb to yank targets toward it before detonating a bomb. Its most dangerous mechanic is FetusAirstrikeTrigger: when it reaches low health it activates an airstrike that strikes the battlefield after it dies.

The post-death airstrike makes "chipping" Der Fötus to low health a trap: once the trigger fires, the airstrike is locked in regardless of how quickly you finish it off. Cats clustered near it when the strikes land take significant area damage. The pull-bomb combo can drag a cat out of position and immediately detonate on them, making backline positioning especially important.

Kill Der Fötus in a single burst to avoid triggering the airstrike at low HP. If it does reach the airstrike threshold, immediately move all cats away from its position before the strikes land. Ranged attacks that stay out of pull-bomb range are the safest engagement approach. When it spawns from a Fötusjar, have a fast or ranged cat ready to intercept it immediately before it can pull-bomb or FurySwipe the team.
