The Golem is a heavy cat-type enemy with 15 HP and exceptionally high Strength (15), making its BasicMelee strikes among the hardest-hitting of any standard melee enemy in the game. Its Movement 2 means it closes distance slowly, but once it reaches your party it can one-shot or severely wound poorly-positioned cats.
Unlike more complex enemies, the Golem's threat is purely mechanical: raw melee damage with no special abilities or status effects to complicate the fight. Its low speed is the key exploitable weakness — maintaining distance and chipping it down with ranged attacks or spells before it closes in is the safest approach.
Avoid positioning fragile party members in its path. Knockback abilities can buy extra turns to deal damage from safety. High-Constitution cats or those with Brace can absorb a hit if needed, but the Golem should ideally never reach melee range before being significantly weakened or eliminated.
