Knockback
None
Knockback pushes a unit one or more tiles away from the source of the hit. The displaced unit is forced backward, potentially landing on hazardous terrain, being pushed into walls for bonus damage, or being separated from allies.
Knockback is as much a positioning tool as a damage mechanic. Pushing enemies onto hazard tiles like lava, spikes, or poison pools adds environmental damage on top of the hit itself. Knocking enemies into walls can deal collision damage. Defensively, knockback creates distance between a melee enemy and your cat, buying time to reposition. Be mindful of knocking enemies toward your backline, as the displacement could bring threats closer to vulnerable cats.
