Hangenbot

Hangenbot is a robotic enemy from The Future whose name translates roughly to "hanging robot" in German, consistent with the chapter's German-themed naming conventions. It ambushes from above, dropping down to engage targets rather than approaching along the ground, giving it a degree of positional surprise that most enemies in the chapter lack. The "hangen" movement style allows it to bypass conventional movement pathing.

Its precise stats and ability set are not fully documented, but its classification alongside other Future-chapter bots (Doktorbot, Katzebot, Fernsehbot, Grosserbot) places it in the mechanical enemy tier. Like its counterparts, it is likely susceptible to the same damage types and tactics that work on robotic enemies generally. Its ambush deployment means encounters may begin with it already adjacent to your cats.

Because Hangenbot drops from above, be cautious about assuming your backline is safe from engagement at the start of a Future encounter. Melee cats positioned in the back may suddenly find themselves adjacent to it when it deploys. Maintaining flexible formation spacing and having a plan for close-range engagement of unexpected threats will reduce the disruption a surprise Hangenbot can cause.
