Rat King

The Rat King is a seething conglomerate of fused rats, one of two possible mini-bosses in The Sewers (alongside The Flushmaster). With 100 HP and a two-phase combat pattern, this grotesque entity starts as a crowd-control threat before transforming into a dangerous brawler at half health. Its real danger lies in the constant stream of minions it generates throughout the fight.
In Phase 1, the Rat King uses RatKingToss to hurl adjacent units for 5 damage, while RatKingSpawn continuously produces Lil' Rats that act independently each turn. At half HP, Phase 2 triggers via RatKingTransform: the Rat King gains +1 Brace, +3 Damage Up, and +2 Speed, and begins spawning Poops and Dips instead of rats, escalating the environmental hazard.
Prioritize dealing damage quickly to avoid a protracted fight in which the Rat King's spawn swarms become unmanageable. AoE abilities that can hit both the Rat King and nearby Lil' Rats are ideal for keeping the battlefield clear. In Phase 2, be prepared for the stat spike — the Rat King becomes significantly more threatening and its projectile-based Toss attack can scatter party members dangerously. Keep the arena as clear of hazard tiles as possible heading into the phase transition.
