The Shambler is a heavy undead melee enemy found in The Boneyard. With 28 HP (56 in champion form) and a 3-tile dash attack, it is one of the more physically imposing threats in Act 1. Beyond its raw power it can grab and throw any unit it can reach, turning its own position into a hazard for adjacent cats.
The Shambler's most unpredictable quality is its random lunge at the end of every turn: after taking its regular action it lurches in a random direction, potentially carrying it into or out of range of your cats with no warning. This erratic movement makes positioning against it unreliable — cats that should be safe after an attack can find the Shambler unexpectedly adjacent at the start of the next turn.
High burst damage to finish the Shambler before it can throw or lunge is the cleanest approach. Because of the random lunge, avoid relying on strict positioning — assume it may end up anywhere after each turn and plan accordingly. In The Boneyard it commonly appears alongside Wisps, Skeleton Cats, and Grave Worms, so managing the ranged pressure while handling the Shambler's melee threat requires careful prioritization.
