Spun Cat
Cat processed through a centrifuge machine with dizzying attacks.
Spun Cat is a Lab enemy that randomly mimics one of the game's 13 playable classes, changing its appearance to match whichever class it is currently imitating. Each class brings a different basic attack pattern — some single-hit, some multi-hit — and all of them apply a randomly chosen debuff on each hit. The debuff chosen at the start of a turn remains consistent for all attacks that turn. With 10 HP and variable damage tied to the mimicked class, Spun Cat is fundamentally unpredictable.
The class-mimicry coloring gives you a visual hint at what attack pattern to expect, though the random debuff remains unknown until it lands. Classes that normally have multi-hit attacks will apply the debuff multiple times in a single turn if each hit connects, potentially stacking a severe status quickly. The class it mimics can change between encounters or even between turns, making each engagement feel fresh and unpredictable.
With only 10 HP, Spun Cat is fragile enough that most builds can one-shot it before it acts. Prioritize killing it quickly to avoid the debuff lottery. If it survives a round, position cats so the debuff lands on the most expendable unit in your formation rather than a key ability user. Broad-spectrum cleanse abilities are valuable backup in The Lab generally, and especially so when multiple Spun Cats appear at once.
