Toadie Hidden is the concealed pre-combat state of the Toadie enemy, representing it while it is burrowed underground or camouflaged before surfacing to engage. In this hidden phase the Toadie is inactive, invisible, or otherwise undetectable until a trigger condition is met — at which point it emerges into the active Toadie form and joins the fight. This CMS entry tracks the hidden phase as a distinct entity for game mechanic purposes.

The Toadie itself is a squat, aggressive melee enemy with a leaping pounce attack and a territorial disposition. Its Hidden state exists to enable surprise encounters where the Toadie does not appear on the map at fight start, instead emerging mid-battle to add unexpected pressure. The separation of Hidden and Active states in the game data lets the engine handle the emergence transition cleanly.

In encounters where Toadie Hidden is present, be prepared for it to emerge at any point mid-fight rather than treating the starting enemy count as the total threat. AoE abilities that cover tiles where it might surface can pre-emptively damage it on emergence. Once revealed, treat it as a standard active Toadie and prioritize eliminating it before its pounce attacks can disrupt your formation.
