Enemy

Werecat

Movement: 2

The Werecat is a feral cat enemy found in The Boneyard and surrounding areas. It is an aggressive melee fighter that can execute both a dash attack and a leap attack in a single turn, giving it exceptional closing speed and the ability to strike from angles that most melee enemies cannot reach in one action. This dual-attack pattern makes it dangerous even when it appears to be out of range.

The combination of dash and leap in one turn allows the Werecat to cover large distances and strike specific targets that would otherwise be protected by positioning. Unlike more predictable melee enemies, it can change direction mid-approach, making it difficult to screen or protect vulnerable cats behind a frontline. Its aggression and mobility make it one of the more threatening regular enemies in the area.

Knockback and crowd control are effective against the Werecat since they interrupt its movement before it can close the distance and use both actions. Ranged cats can pressure it from outside its effective engagement range, but should be prepared for it to cover surprising distances in a single turn. In groups it is a high priority target since its mobility allows it to bypass defensive formations and threaten backline support cats.
