Injury

Exsanguinated

STR -1, DEX -1

Exsanguinated is a Special Injury that permanently reduces both Strength (STR) and Dexterity (DEX) by 1. It is specifically caused by being downed while afflicted with the Bleed status effect, making it one of the more punishing injuries for physical damage dealers who are already in a vulnerable state.

Losing both STR and DEX simultaneously hits melee cats especially hard, since STR governs raw damage and DEX controls accuracy and dodge chance. A single Exsanguinated injury effectively reduces both offensive output and survivability in one stroke. Cats that rely on landing precise, hard-hitting attacks will feel this dual penalty more than any single-stat Basic Injury.

Bleed is one of the most common damage-over-time effects in the game, applied by many enemies across all areas. The risk of Exsanguinated is highest in prolonged fights where Bleed stacks accumulate and HP dips low. Preventing it means either clearing Bleed stacks before a cat goes down or keeping Bleed-afflicted cats topped up on HP. Cats with the Deep Cut disorder or other self-Bleed mechanics should be treated with extra caution, since they run a constant background risk of Exsanguination if they get downed.
