A common consumable that restores 12 HP when eaten — a reliable mid-fight heal for when you're taking a beating. Resembles a sardine visually. Nothing flashy, but healing consumables are always worth picking up when your HP is under pressure. Useful for stretching your durability between campfires or ahead of a tough boss fight.
The 12 HP heal is a flat value, not percentage-based, so it benefits lower-HP characters proportionally more than high-HP tanks. It does not bypass the Vurp disorder, which converts healing into damage — avoid using it on afflicted characters. As a common-rarity item, A Snack appears frequently and stacks easily, making it a dependable source of healing resources in the early and mid game.
Best used during combat when a character dips low but not critically so — it does not save a character at 1 HP the way Smelling Salts would, but it efficiently patches moderate damage. On squishier damage-dealers, a couple of A Snack charges can buy enough turns to finish a tough encounter. Since it is common, do not hesitate to use it liberally rather than hoarding it.
