Barbed Mask

The Barbed Mask is a common face armor from The Junkyard in the Barbed set. It gives +1 Damage and +1 Thorns at the cost of -1 Max HP, and applies Metal status to the wearer. The tradeoff is direct: you deal more damage on offense and reflect damage when hit, but your HP ceiling drops permanently. Metal status also means the wearer takes increased damage from lightning attacks.

It suits aggressive melee builds that get hit frequently and want to punish contact. Builds stacking Thorns across the Barbed set — which includes Barbed Hat, Barbed Necklace, and hook weapons — get compounding value from each piece. Just be cautious in encounters with electrical enemies or hazards given the Metal vulnerability.
