Bubbles

Bubbles is the rare weapon earned by completing the Bubble Boy sidequest. It throws a bubble infused with Wind and Water elements that inflicts Confusion on whatever it hits — a reliable ranged Confusion tool without the indiscriminate physics chaos of the neck armor it originated from.

Confusion is a powerful status effect that causes the afflicted unit to act erratically, potentially attacking their own allies or wasting turns on random actions. Bubbles delivers this reliably to a single targeted enemy from range, making it a precision crowd control tool. The Wind and Water dual elements mean the bubbles may interact with elemental resistances or weaknesses, dealing more or less damage based on the target's elemental profile.

Bubbles works best on support cats who prioritize control over damage output, using Confusion to neutralize high-priority threats before they can act. It is particularly effective against bosses or elite enemies where a single turn of confusion can prevent catastrophic damage to your team. Pair it with follow-up attackers who can exploit the confusion window to deal free damage while the enemy is disoriented.
