Butcher's Cleaver

A heavy cleaver used in the butchering trade. The Butcher's Cleaver deals high physical damage and has a strong chance to inflict Bleed on each hit, making it one of the best dedicated Bleed weapons in the game.

Compared to other Bleed weapons like the Pickaxe or Chainsaw, the Butcher's Cleaver has a notably higher Bleed proc rate, making it the most reliable applicator of that status effect available. Physical damage scales with STR, and combined with Bleed stacks building up rapidly, the total damage output per combat is exceptional. The consistent Bleed makes it especially effective against tanky enemies that resist burst.

The go-to weapon for dedicated Bleed build strategies. Works best with STR investment and pairs powerfully with mutations or passives that amplify Bleed ticks or extend duration. A strong endgame weapon that holds its own against rare alternatives because of how consistently it stacks damage-over-time pressure rather than relying on burst.
