Butterfly Knife

A rare Cool set weapon usable once per battle. It delivers a multi-hit melee attack that inflicts Bleed, with a 75% chance to trigger each additional hit — so you can expect multiple strikes before the chain ends. Bleed accumulates with every hit, making the combo potentially devastating on higher-health targets. Part of the Cool set.

With a 75% continuation chance per hit, the expected number of strikes per use is approximately 4 (1 / (1 - 0.75) = 4). Each hit applies Bleed independently, so the combo rapidly stacks Bleed to high levels in a single action. The damage per hit may be low, but cumulative Bleed ticks over subsequent turns can add substantial total damage against targets that don't die from the initial strikes.

Ideal for Bleed-stacking builds that want a burst application of multiple Bleed stacks in a single turn. Pairs powerfully with mutations or passives that increase Bleed tick damage, since the butterfly knife can apply several stacks at once. Most effective against high-HP enemies or bosses that will survive the initial hits but suffer extensively from the accumulated DoT.
