Callus

A patch of toughened, battle-hardened skin grown over the face through repeated punishment. Callus rewards cats who survive fights with their defenses intact: the StatusOnBattleEnd passive grants permanent bonus Shield each time a battle ends with Shield still remaining. This compounds over a run — each fight adds more shielding to an already-protected cat, making Callus disproportionately powerful on builds that invest in defensive layering. Obtained through the Butch event.
