Chaos Controller is the rare upgrade rewarded by completing the Chaos Device sidequest. It permanently unlocks the full cross-class ability pool at level-up — every class's abilities become available as options, not just your cat's starting class — and grants extra rerolls to find the right pick. Part of the Experimental item set, it's one of the most powerful build-shaping items in the game, letting you stack the best abilities from any class without being locked into a single archetype.

The permanent cross-class level-up pool is a significant quality-of-life upgrade over the Chaos Device, which provided the same effect only while the item was equipped. With Chaos Controller, the cat always has access to every class's abilities at level-up, enabling builds that combine the most powerful abilities from Necromancer, Monk, Psychic, Mugger, or any other class. The extra rerolls help find specific desired abilities within the expanded pool.

Chaos Controller belongs on the cat who benefits most from cross-class ability mixing — typically a hybrid build that wants abilities from two or three different classes.
