As the face slot, the Dry Bone Mask contributes the same +3 Shield, +1 Thorns, and Bruise 1 on contact as the other set pieces. Face armor is competitive, but at uncommon rarity the Dry Bone Mask's combination of shield and active debuff is hard to beat for a Desert frontliner.
