StatusOnKill fires once for each enemy killed while wearing this piece, applying a status effect to a target (the wearer, a nearby enemy, or another determined by the specific status). The Metal tag interacts with passives or items that reference metal-type equipment. At +2 Shield, the Shoulder Pad ties the Scar and Helm for defensive value, so the neck slot choice comes down to whether you want the status proc alongside other set pieces or prefer a different neck option.
