Fork

The Fork is a trinket that heals 5 HP on every kill or corpse destruction. The corpse clause is worth understanding: dead bodies persist on the battlefield, and attacking them still triggers the heal. You're not limited to landing killing blows — follow-up swings on downed enemies count too, giving you extra heal opportunities after the main threat is gone.

Its standout synergy is with Butcher's Incubator, which spawns Rot Flies whenever you heal beyond your maximum HP. A cat at full health who kills something triggers the Fork heal, immediately overcaps, and spawns a Rot Fly — chain that across a fight with many kills and you're building a swarm from combat alone. Duke of Flies extends that chain further. On its own, 5 HP per kill is genuine sustain in any fight with more than a handful of enemies.
