The status-on-hit procs every turn from basic attacks, creating steady debuff pressure that compounds in longer fights.

Like the other Frozen set pieces, AddStatusToBasicAttack applies a status effect whenever this cat uses a basic attack, while MeleeRevengeDamage automatically counters any melee attacker. As the face armor slot, the Frozen Mask competes directly with other face armors that may provide higher shield values or offensive stats. The tradeoff is that its passives work continuously without ability activation, making its value reliable if lower-ceiling than active effect items.

Most valuable in the face slot when the Frozen Necklace and Hat are already equipped, since the full set provides three layers of status application and revenge damage. On its own, it serves as a serviceable face piece for basic-attack-oriented cats who want passive debuffing without spending turn actions. Consider swapping it for higher-shield face armor when facing enemies resistant to status effects, as the raw +1 Shield alone is underwhelming at later stages.
