A risky evasion boost — the dodge chance is meaningful, but Confusion 2 impairs ability targeting and the INT loss hurts spell builds. Best on physical attackers who don't rely on Intelligence and can tolerate some disorientation for the evasion payoff.
20% Dodge Chance is a genuine defensive boost — over multiple hits it converts a meaningful fraction of incoming attacks into misses. The cost is self-applied Confusion 2 and -1 INT. Confusion causes misdirected targeting, which on physical weapon builds means occasional random repositioning of attacks rather than a catastrophic loss. The -1 INT is negligible on melee fighters. The 5–8 variable uses mean multiple applications are possible, stacking dodge chance further if the Confusion and INT penalties are acceptable.
Glue is a surprisingly strong defensive tool on dedicated melee fighters or physical damage dealers who don't need accurate targeting. On a frontliner whose job is to close distance and swing, the Confusion rarely matters since their attacks are directional melee anyway. Avoid it entirely on spellcasters or INT-dependent builds where both the Confusion and stat loss are damaging. In a pinch, the dodge chance alone can save a cat from being eliminated by repeated hits — multiple uses to stack the evasion can make a cat frustratingly hard to hit consistently.
