Helmet is a common head armor that provides 4 Shield, the Metal tag, and a PreventSpecificInjury passive. The shield value is solid for a common item, and preventing a specific injury type adds targeted protection that can matter in the right encounters. A reliable starter piece that holds its own even when better options are scarce.

The 4 Shield absorbs damage up to that total before HP takes any hits, effectively acting as a free buffer at the start of each combat. Shield does not regenerate between fights on its own unless you have a repair or regen source, so its value degrades if you take heavy damage before boss fights. PreventSpecificInjury blocks one particular injury category entirely, which can be invaluable against enemies that reliably inflict that injury type. If the blocked injury is one you face frequently in a given zone, this common helmet punches above its rarity tier.

Helmet is a safe pick for almost any cat early in a run when head slot options are limited. The Metal tag makes it compatible with Metal-synergy builds, but it is not required for those builds to work. Replace it when you find a rare or uncommon helmet with stronger passives unless the injury prevention is saving you repeatedly in the current zone. For fragile backline cats, even 4 Shield provides enough cushion to survive a stray hit that would otherwise cripple them.
