Leather Jacket

A heavy leather jacket providing both style and protection. Shield:3 absorbs hits, and BlockDamageUnderThreshold completely negates any hit that falls below a damage minimum. Weak attacks, chip damage, and low-damage procs simply don't land — excellent against swarms of weak enemies or builds that deal many small hits. Less effective against single powerful strikes that clear the threshold.

The exact damage threshold determines which attacks this blocks. Against enemies with 1-2 damage per hit — common in early zones and swarm encounters — the jacket turns most attacks into misses entirely. Against bosses and elites hitting for 5+ damage, the threshold effect is irrelevant and you're relying on the Shield:3 alone. The jacket is zone-dependent in its value as a result.

Slot it on a cat going up against enemy groups known for rapid light attacks: Rat swarms, early-zone enemies, or DOT-focused opponents whose individual ticks fall under the threshold. The Leather set it belongs to includes other pieces granting Shield and Brace, making a full-set Leather build one of the more consistent defensive setups available.
