Necronomicon

The Necronomicon is a very rare demonic tome of immense dark power, drawing from the H.P. Lovecraft mythos and its many pop culture adaptations. Using it invokes eldritch forces that summon undead allies, curse enemies, or deal dark damage. One of the most powerful magic weapons available.

The Necronomicon's ability to summon undead or curse enemies makes it a force multiplier in the right hands. Summoned undead allies add bodies to the fight, absorbing hits and threatening enemies simultaneously. The curse component can stack with other negative status effects, and INT scaling on the book means high-intelligence Necromancers or Mages see amplified summon quality and curse potency.

The Necronomicon is the signature weapon for Necromancer builds, enabling the full undead army fantasy. Pair it with Staff of the Underworld for guaranteed Zombie Cat summons at battle start, then use the Necronomicon to add more undead mid-fight. The curse utility also makes it valuable on INT-heavy Mage builds that want to weaken enemies before dealing the killing blow.
