The Ocarina is a rare instrument-weapon that plays magical melodies to affect combat. It applies a status effect or buff/debuff depending on the tune played, channeling the mystical power of music from the Legend of Zelda reference it evokes. An unconventional weapon for magically inclined builds.

Musical weapons typically deal no direct damage but apply powerful status effects or area buffs. The Ocarina's effect may charm, sleep, or confuse enemies, or it may provide a rally buff to allies. INT or CHA scaling would make sense for a magical instrument, as higher intelligence enhances the potency or duration of the musical effects.

The Ocarina suits support-oriented cats with high INT or CHA who don't need a traditional damage weapon. Using it to apply a Sleep or Charm effect at the start of combat can turn difficult encounters into trivial ones. It pairs well with builds that have strong follow-up damage from other weapons or abilities to capitalize on the status window.
