A heavy mining tool repurposed as a weapon. The Pickaxe deals solid physical damage and has a chance to inflict Bleed on hit, making it a reliable melee option for builds that want to stack damage-over-time pressure.

The Pickaxe's Bleed proc applies a damage-over-time stack each time it triggers, and its flat physical damage scales favorably with STR investment. The weapon hits hard upfront and the Bleed adds residual pressure — enemies that survive the initial strike continue to take damage, which is especially valuable against high-HP targets or enemies that heal between turns.

Best suited to STR-heavy melee builds that want consistent Bleed application without relying on consumables. Pairs well with mutations or passives that amplify Bleed damage or extend its duration. A strong choice early when weapon options are limited, and competitive into mid-game before higher-rarity weapons take over.
