Raven Feather

A dark feather worn as a pendant that activates an ability at the start of every battle. The triggered effect gives the equipped cat an immediate advantage before the first turn is taken — whether that's a curse, a debuff on enemies, or a buff to allies. Raven Feather rewards proactive builds and pairs especially well with cats who already front-load pressure or have strong opening moves, compounding the early-turn advantage into a decisive head start.

AbilityOnBattleStart fires a specific ability as a free action at the very start of each encounter, before any combatant takes a turn. This effectively gives the wearer an extra action every fight that doesn't consume their normal turn. The ability triggered depends on the item's configuration — it could be an offensive curse on nearby enemies, a self-buff, or an area debuff. In all cases, the advantage compounds with whatever the character does on their first actual turn.

Best on high-SPD characters who act early and can immediately follow up the battle-start ability with their own turn. If the triggered ability applies a debuff to enemies, the wearer is already setting up their own attacks before a single turn has passed.
