Rune of Hagalaz

A rare face armor from the Rune set with the powerful DoubleCastWeapons effect, causing weapon abilities to fire twice per use. Hagalaz dramatically amplifies weapon-based damage output and works especially well with high-damage or multi-hit weapons. Part of the three-piece Rune set alongside Rune of Perthro and Rune of Jera — running the full set compounds weapon, trinket, and survivability synergies simultaneously.

DoubleCastWeapons fires every weapon ability twice per activation — meaning any weapon skill that costs one action now deals damage twice, applies on-hit procs twice, and triggers AddStatusToBasicAttack twice if the weapon attack counts as a basic attack. The value scales directly with weapon damage: a weak weapon gets modest benefit, but a high-damage weapon dealing 50+ per swing becomes potentially fight-defining. Combined with Caveman Eyebrows' WeaponDamageMultiplierBonus, each doubled hit is also amplified.

Rune of Hagalaz is the engine of the Rune set and a strong standalone face piece for any weapon-primary build. The DoubleCastWeapons effect is rare enough to transform an ordinary weapon run into a powerhouse. Look for high base damage weapons to maximize the doubling effect. Among face armor options, Hagalaz competes with Demonic Mask and Copycat Mask — for weapon builds, it will almost always win.
